Balay: A Furniture Pop-Up by Casa Selma and Aruga Resort and Residences – Mactan
As Rockwell Land’s first residential-resort development, Aruga Resort and Residences – Mactan is an idyllic haven with well-appointed living spaces and an expansive beachfront that’s exclusive to the property. Located along the leisure strip of Punta Engaño in Mactan Island, one will find that both residential units and luxurious villas here offer ideal grounds for elevated lifestyles to thrive. With a shared passion for the finer things in life, Aruga Mactan partners with Vito Selma in presenting Balay, an exclusive pop-up at the Power Plant Mall in Makati featuring his newest set of curated pieces.
Based in the island of Cebu, Vito Selma is globally renowned for his eponymous brand that seamlessly fuses organic elements and fresh forms through bespoke designs. He has not only garnered numerous awards, but has also become a staple in tasteful homes. Rockwell has previously collaborated with Vito for its projects in Cebu, and is now excited to introduce his new label in Metro Manila, Casa Selma.
Balay marks the launch of Casa Selma and celebrates the rich culture of the Philippines through its first collection, Understated Tropical. The collection makes use of materials such as rice husk and rattan, and woven techniques to highlight the distinct skill of their local craftsmen.
Casa Selma also keeps its doors open to those in need, as they aspire to uplift others and make a positive impact within local communities. A percentage of proceeds are then allotted for a worthy cause. For the Understated Tropical collection, every purchase raises funds for the construction of small boats and houses for fishermen in Cebu, and will aid in educating them about sustainable fishing practices.
Pieces from the collection will be fitted in the Aruga Mactan model unit at the Rockwell Lounge in Power Plant Mall, to showcase how each one is able to suit every home. A QR code on each product provides more information about them should one be interested to learn about each piece, while swatches are also available for one to see what finish works best for their space.
Visit the Balay pop-up at the Rockwell Lounge at the R1 Level of Power Plant Mall from June 12 to August 8, 2021. Enjoy a 15% discount on each purchase from the collection until July.
