Rockwall

There are a lot of malls in Manila but nothing with Rockwell’s feeling of community. For a lot of Rockwell’s long time patrons, there are a lot of real memories here – first dates, birthdays, family gatherings, study sessions. You don’t just buy and shop in this mall, you live here.

Rockwell has all the features that cater to my lifestyle of work and leisure. We have been part of the Rockwell community ever since we began our brand, Aranáz, 15 years ago. Rockwell has been instrumental in building Aranáz. The entire Rockwell complex to me is such a comfortable, no-fail haven. The numerous shops, restaurants, and amenities have always been my go-to place for meetings, socials, and even the variety of events that I hold for my brands.

As a food photographer and prop stylist, styling food is just one of the things I do on shoots and on my blog. There was one time I needed a particular cheese to be cut in a certain way so that the label would be seen in the photo. The attendant at the cheese counter of Marketplace by Rustan’s very graciously set aside the prepackaged wedges and sliced the cheese just the way I wanted it. It was the best kind of service I’ve experienced at Rockwell, and because of it, I still remember this man’s name: Norberto Manabat. It’s people like this that make the Rockwell experience so special.

Rockwell is so close to my residence in Makati and I’m really thrilled to be able to just pop in at Eric Kayser to pick up bags of croissants, baguettes, cookies and pastries for the house. They have the best and most authentic French breads in town and as I always seem to be chasing time, I’m really glad this grab-and- go concept is so close to home.

I usually find myself doing groceries at Marketplace by Rustan’s. It is arguably the best supermarket in the metro with premium products that cannot be found anywhere else. It is always a treat shopping there.
