Aruga Apartments received its accreditation from the Department of Tourism (DOT) to operate as a Multiple-Use Hotel last Aug. 20, 2021.
Previously, the property was granted a Certificate of Authority to Operate for Staycations in November 2020. Under the multiple-use status, Aruga Apartments can now open its doors to travelers with quarantine requirements in addition to its current pool of corporate clients and leisure guests.
The multiple use certification is an initiative of the DOT to grant qualified accommodation establishments the permission to accept both quarantine and non-quarantine stays. The approval comes after a thorough inspection by DOT and the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) to ensure compliance with the required physical separation between the two guest categories. This is to ascertain that the standards for health and safety are met.
The certification is proof of Aruga Apartments’ consistent efforts to provide a safe space for all guests to feel right at home.
